Haskovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) hosted the second coordination meeting

On 13 of February 2018 in the hall of Municipal Administration – Haskovo was held the second partnership meeting under Project "Developing Identity ON Yield, SOil and Site" - DIONYSOS, as per subsidy contract No В2.6с.04 under Cooperation Programme Interreg V-A Greece-Bulgaria 2014-2020. HCCI is one of is one of the eight Project Beneficiaries and was the organizer and host of this meeting.

Lead Beneficiary is the "Department of Food Science & Human Nutrition - Agricultural University of Athens". The Project is under priority axis 2 - a sustainable and climate adaptable cross-border area, and investment priority 6с - conserving, protecting, promoting and developing natural and cultural heritage.

The project's aim is to preserve traditional resources (local wine varieties) specific to the CB area, by promoting the area’s productive and cultural identity (local vine varieties in relation to the tradition of wine) and increase the area's attractiveness, by creating an integrated tourist destination.

The meeting was opened by Yancho Yanev - Chairman of HCCI, who wished a success and a good cooperation, explaining that he hopes that implementation of this project will promote the quality of the wine-growing border areas and lay the foundations for cooperation in viticulture and wine production. During the meeting the partners discussed the implementation so far, the specificities of the project activities, methodologies for the necessary studies and requirements for the administrative and tendering procedures of the both countries.
